Calteco is one of the main producers of hydrated lime for construction, and the leader in lime for industrial applications in the Western region of Mexico. This region represents 20% of the total lime market in Mexico, which is the 7th largest in the world. It is also a major steel producing region. 

Calteco has two production sites and employs approximately 200 people. Its main operation (mineral reserves, kilns and hydration plant) is located in Tecolotlan, 110 Kms south-west of Guadalajara, the second largest city in Mexico with 6 million inhabitants. In addition, there is also a hydration plant near the city of Guadalajara.
