Lhoist - lime and dolime producer




		July 2000 Acquisition of Mexican Caleras Fernandez Grupo Calider, the Lhoist Group’s joint venture partner in Mexico, recently acquired Caleras Fernandez, a local lime producer. Caleras Fernandez has a lime production capacity of about 300 Kt, located near Guadalajara city, in south-western Mexico. Caleras Fernandez also operates a 35 Ktpa hydration plant in Cimarron, 50 miles south of Guadalajara. Most of the lime manufactured by Caleras Fernandez is sold in the form of hydrate for the local construction market, under the trade name Perla^Ž.
