Novembre 2002
The Group Lhoist won the Caius Award 2002

On November 21st, the Group Lhoist was awarded the prestigious CAIUS Award 2002 for distinctive cultural sponsorship in the category of large enterprise actions.

For fourteen years, the CAIUS competition in Belgium, supported by the Promethea Foundation, has focused on bringing to light those companies who actively participate in the cultural life of the community as well as that of their specific enterprise. Competing for the first time this year, the Lhoist Group won the award for distinction not only on the quality of our extensive collection of contemporary art, but more importantly for our support to contemporary artists by virtue of our commissions and our continuous efforts to extend to employees and their families opportunities to expand their own cultural vision around the world.

Apart from the public distinction, the CAIUS carries with it a contemporary sculpture by the Belgian artiste Isabelle Dethier. But most importantly for the Group Lhoist is that this is indeed a collective award, recognizing the active participation of all of our employees in the continuous building of our distinctive culture.
