Lhoist UK wins safety and environmental awards

Lhoist UK has scooped two prestigious awards in recognition of its health and safety procedures, and environmental performance. It received a gold award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and was awarded 5 Stars for Environmental Performance from the Quarry Products Association.

"The gold RoSPA award is a reward for the dedication, commitment and enthusiasm of the quarry's safety committee", said Charles Weston, Health, Safety and Environment manager. It's recognition of all the effort that the workforce have put into health and safety. Likewise, the 5 Stars awarded by the QPA where not just for the large environmental improvements the company has made, but also for dozens of smaller improvements and the daily care that our staff take of the site".
