GOCO2

Lhoist, Elengy, GRTgaz, Heidelberg Materials, Lafarge, and TotalEnergies launched the Grand Ouest CO2 (GOCO2 ) decarbonization project. Supported by Pays de la Loire Region and Grand Port Maritime de Nantes Saint-Nazaire, it aims to develop an investment program for capturing CO2 on industrial sites and transporting it by pipeline to the Saint-Nazaire maritime export terminal for permanent geological storage, with an estimated capacity of 2.6 million tons a year by 2030. GOCO2 is an ambitious project to accelerate the decarbonization of industrial sites in western France.
