Renewable electricity

We strive to reduce our Scope 2 emissions

The electricity we use has its own upstream carbon footprint. The carbon emissions generated by the production of our electricity (called “Scope 2” emissions) range between 3 and 5% of our total carbon footprint (defined as the sum of Scope 1 and 2) depending on where our local electricity is sourced from.

As a group, we strive to reduce our Scope 2 emissions by increasing our production of self-generated sustainable electricity or by purchasing green electricity with Guarantee of Origin certificates.

We actively engage in projects to source sustainable electricity (e.g. photovoltaic, hydro, wind, combined heat and power), either generated directly in our own installations, through partnerships, or through suppliers that offer robust Guarantees of Origin.

Our goal for 2024
