Around the world

Moving with purpose, caring with impact

At Lhoist, we believe in the importance of employee well-being and community engagement. To combine both, we launched Move & Care, a global initiative designed to bring our people together through purposeful movement and meaningful contribution. This program encourages employees to stay active, take care of their physical and mental health, and support the communities where we live and work.

What is Move & Care?

Since 2019, this initiative has become a meaningful tradition across our international teams. Every year, thousands of employees take part by performing activities that support both physical and mental health. Whether it is walking, running, biking, reading or meditating, each action contributes to a shared goal: earning points that are converted into donations for local charities.

Why it matters

Move & Care is more than a well-being program. It gives employees a practical way to focus on their health while supporting the communities where they live and work. The initiative reflects our values and a supportive, purpose driven culture. By investing in people’s health and encouraging them to give back, we foster:

  • Stronger team connections through shared goals and collective impact
  • Healthier lifestyle habits that support long-term well-being
  • A deeper sense of belonging within our global teams
  • culture of positive impact in the communities where we operate

Looking ahead

Each year, Move & Care continues to grow, bringing new energy, new stories, and new ways to make a difference. But the core of the initiative stays the same: move, connect, and care. We are excited to continue expanding this initiative because when we move together, we create lasting change.

2025:

  • 13+ million points earned
  • 2,098 employee's participation
  • 693,639 km covered
  • Number of local charities supported: 35

In 2025, Move & Care donations supported a wide variety of community organizations and programs, including for example first responder teams, day care centers, afterschool and community rehabilitation programs, shelters for young people in need or those experiencing homelessness, mental health support organizations, solidarity grocery stores and food banks.
