Catia Fiuza, Junior Manufacturing Excellence Engineer at Lhoist Group began her career at Lhoist and quickly embraced the opportunity to grow: “Joining Lhoist as a young engineer was a pivotal step in my career. The onboarding process visiting multiple sites and gaining hands-on exposure helped me quickly understand how my role contributes to a global, purpose-driven company.”
Meike Hahlen, Process Engineer at Lhoist Germany, started at the regional headquarters in Germany, where she gained valuable experience: “Starting at the Lhoist Germany headquarters gave me early exposure to diverse projects and expert mentorship... Transitioning to the Flandersbach plant allowed me to apply that knowledge in operations.”
Shruti Mathure, Industrial IT Solutions Junior Analyst, Lhoist Group, has defined Lhoist by innovation and global collaboration. “From the beginning, Lhoist entrusted me with impactful IT projects that accelerated my learning. Today, I lead a global initiative that improves real-time data visibility across sites an experience that reflects Lhoist’s trust, innovation, and collaborative spirit.”

Jacqueline Cota, Process Senior Engineer at Lhoist Latin America shared to not be afraid of making mistakes and having persistence and a strong will: “Engineering is a field where challenges are constant, so are the opportunities to grow. With persistence and a strong will, you can overcome obstacles and achieve success.”
For Shruti, being confident and do not be afraid to share your ideas: “Lhoist values diversity and fosters an inclusive environment where innovation and exploration are encouraged. My advice to aspiring engineers is to be confident in your ideas and not hesitate to share them. Speak up, engage in meaningful dialogue, and take initiative. Your voice matters, and at Lhoist, it can help shape the future.”
