Efficient treatment for safer communities and cleaner waterways

Effective municipal wastewater treatment protects public health, preserves ecosystems, and helps cities meet tightening environmental standards. We support you with lime-based products and filtration media that stabilize pH, remove nutrients, control odor and corrosion, and improve plant performance.

Nutrient removal

Municipal wastewater often carries elevated nitrogen and phosphorus, which can trigger algal blooms and oxygen depletion if released untreated.

  • Nitrogen: Our lime solutions provide the alkalinity and pH stability needed for efficient nitrification and denitrification. Where required, lime also supports ammonia stripping, shifting ammonia for removal under controlled conditions.
  • Phosphorus: Hydrated lime or milk of lime restore buffering capacity and support phosphorus precipitation. At higher pH, calcium reacts with phosphate to form hydroxyapatite, improving compliance and effluent clarity.

pH and alkalinity control

Stable pH is essential across clarification, biological treatment, and tertiary polishing. Our lime-based reagents build strong buffering capacity, stabilizing sensitive treatment steps and protecting downstream infrastructure.

Odor and corrosion mitigation

Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) is a major source of odor complaints and infrastructure degradation in sewer systems. Our lime’s strong buffering capacity keeps sulphur in solution, reducing H2S emissions and limiting corrosive, toxic, and explosive risks in sewers and plants.
